We strongly recommend our users of the previous Sawyer versions (prior 1.5) to read carefully this document containing the changes and bug-fixes in the version 1.5

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 6.1

Woody

• FPU exceptions processing is improved having helped with poor peripheral drivers, etc. which install their own operation mode but do not restore the previous one.

Sawyer

• The bug of cut parts number calculation in the task with cutting chart minimization while "Cut Part Specification by Materials" reporting is fixed.
• The bug of "New Part" line non-deletion, while all parts from "Parts" level being deleted, is fixed.
• The bug of number and structure miscalculation in the minimized cutting chart table is fixed.
• The bug of edge trim waste during cutting chart manual editing is fixed.
• The bug of cutting chart fragment loss during manual cut direction changing is fixed.

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 6.0

Woody

• The bug in the dialogue box "Materials list" is fixed. The bug was observed while correcting materials expenditure simultaneously in two modes: with desired value direct entering in the table and with the help of extra-expenditure coefficient; it consisted in false calculation of sheet and trimmed material total expenditure with the changes included in the table manually and with the coefficients included automatically. The bug was not revealed if the coefficient was equal to 1.0 or if there were no manual changes in the table or if the coefficient was the same after table changes. From now and on it is possible to enter the desired material expenditure into the table at any coefficient value. While changing the expenditure coefficient, the desired value is corrected in proportion automatically.
• FPU exceptions processing is corrected in such a way that even if some poor peripheral drivers install their own operation mode for FPU, this fact does not damage Woody and Sawyer efficiency.

Sawyer

• In specification "Trimming (extended)" the possibility to switch off trimming chart formation is added in Settings. There the checkbox "trimming" is added; by checking the checkbox, in trims table the part sides, to be trimmed correspondingly, are marked conditionally.
• In specification "Materials specification (cost)" the column "Average materials price" is added.
• The bug of task making for fixed dimensions parts (fronts) is fixed.
• The added specifications:

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 5.0

Woody

• The bug of choosing the material for the part "Wood Chipboard Drawer Bottom" is fixed in the drawer wizard.
• The files of drawer production are updated.

Sawyer

• The bug of stock-taking refuse and postponed stock-taking break caused by the lack of executer name is fixed.
• The bug of selecting the object from Materials browser after this selected object was refused during credit/debit operation is fixed. The repeated selection used to be fulfilled while accounting transaction.
• The bug observed while deleting the product part in Product Catalogue is fixed. This bug used to occur if the part was deleted in data base and tree, but not in product object and appeared in the tree again after data base updating.
• The bug of manual task parts projecting with image blanks is fixed.
• The bug of exception (division by zero while operating statistics icon) is fixed.

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 4.1

Woody

• the bug in the character code page of messages shown in the preview window while creating some drawers is fixed
• the bug, being observed while deleting the material from the fastening, is fixed. The bug used to occur only under definite conditions while closing the Fastenings Editor.

Sawyer

• the bug which used to occur while enetring the part of the product into the empty product catalog is fixed
• the function of blank stock deficit automatic control is added
• the notion of "Postponed stock operation (order)" is added and its mechanism is realised in the following manner: the stock operation of the order may be completed by parts; at first - debit, and then all the rest - credit with finally precised balance and additional expenses if such occur.

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 4

Woody

• While printing pictorial OpenGL-images, the term "Width" is replaced by "Length".
• In the fastening editor the bug, observed while cancelling the accessory from the fastening, is fixed. (The bug was observed in case the fastening editor had been called from the accessories editor).
• The clearing of materials reference to the style is fixed. The clearing used to occur while opening the files (creating new files) preceded by the models backing-up after the incorrect Woody quit.
• In the fastening editor the bug observed while deleting one of the fastening planes is fixed. The bug was observed in case the fastening had more than one plane or in case of immediate change to the holes of other plane after one plane had been deleted.
• The exception being observed within the short time after click panning or zooming in the drawing view is exclude.
• The extra-rotation while turning the image in 3D-view is excluded (it was observed while one-click had been done).
• There is a change in the mode of automatic correction of the fixed parts sizes one of which has the axis bound to dimension. Now the dominating direction of parts size change must be the direction being opposite to the axis bound to dimension.
• Without a need, it's not advisable to reset the fastening material and to lose the parts clearings in the shemes while reseting the fixed accessories (reading the old files, symmetry, etc.).

Sawyer

• The bug, observed while the part was being rotated on the cutting chart (emptiness formation) is fixed.
• There doesn't exist any more the possibility of materials and blanks deletion in the data base browser if the task is open (the context menu checkbox is prohibited).
• The bug of part distribution on the cutting chart if chart's and part's dimensions coincide is fixed.
• The bug, observed while exiting the application, is fixed: the data base browser used to refer to the stock operation window which had been already closed.
• The problem of working with the blanks in the piece multiplied units (10, 100, etc. pieces) for the aggregated materials is solved.
• The bug of chosing the objects for storage in the data base for the interactive task balance is fixed.
• The bug of indicating (for deleting) the remainder in the interactive task after "Undo" command is fixed.
• The bug of cycling in the interactive task while automatic distributing, if the aggregated blank size is less than the parts quantity and overexpenditure is permitted, is fixed.
• In the Materials Properties Edit box the Cancel key blockage, which used to be blocked while Price Set, is switched off, and also the bug of setting newly formed price with Set Price key is fixed.
• The following bugs in the interactive task are fixed:
  • counting of new remains quantity for the aggregated blank with the multiplied units;
  • non-aggregated remains displaying at the aggregated blank.
• The bug in the interactive task is fixed: there was observed an exception while deleting the blank or closing the document after "Undo" command.
• The bug of calculating the expenditures on demand while tha cutting charts have been minimized is fixed.
• There is improvement: while forming the balance its price is set on the basis of the material price.
• The possibility of deleting the blank chart from the interactive task is realised.
• The erroneous possibility of forming several charts from the aggregated blank is excluded.
• The erroneous possibility of blanks overexpenditure when it has been prohibited in the process of charts package creation is excluded.
• There is improvement: there exists the distribution charts sorting in the interactive task.
• There is the following bug-fixing: with the documents being opened the possibility of materials properties and storage objects viewing in the data base materials browser exists again. After storage obect properties have been edited this object's parameters (name, code, price) in the task are refreshed.
• In the interactive task the control of distribution chart filling while Drag&Drop doing is realised.
• The lack of reaction bug while changing the part allowances in the task is fixed.
• There is improvement: in the interactive task the text of the cells being edited is color-marked.
• The exception observed while creating a new storage object with open tasks with open cutting charts drawings is excluded.
• There is improvement: at the command from the task "To Stock", the remains found in the data base are refreshed in the task, drawings, specifications.
• The possibility of remains distribution according to the price (set in the task properties and blanks properties) is added.
• The bug in "Storage Balance" checkbox in "Stock State (extended)" specification is fixed: all sub-items numeration used to begin from 2 (e.g. 5.2), and not from 1 (e.g. 5.1).
• The balance LOG-file loading bug is fixed (there was observed the overexpenditure control out of the time control).
• The changes in the products data base browser are the following:
  • the bug observed while entering a new article with the use of new line operation is fixed;
  • now a new part is created with the name "New Part" and an article - with the name "New Product" (while using the new line operation);
  • the context menu commands are put in order.

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 3.1

Woody

• After the file with the product has been loaded the controllable co-ordinates system is being installed in the lower left corner of product dimension.
• The new box "Soft-Roller, Sputnik" is added.
• Now the objects with the dashed lines (the texture direction symbol) are being drawn correctly after transferring.
• Some unnecessary drawings regenerations have been eliminated after the parts and edge material changing.
• The 3D redrawing is optimised.
• The axis binding to overall dimensions in L- and T-schemes for leading parts is corrected.
• The bug provoking the blocked accessories drift along the axis joint under the command "To edge/From edge" is fixed.
• The bug provoking unstable exception while moving the accessory with mouse along the joint axis is fixed.

Sawyer

• The renewal of specification "Materials Specification (the net costs in materials prices)" and "Materials Specification (the net products costs in materials prices) ". The columns "Price" are added.
• While setting the price of materials and storage objects in the materials stock the message is corrected.
• While setting in 0 the price of storage object, the line in the materials warehouse table is refreshed.
• The bug of over-expenditure remains during the plates cutting caused by their non-integral quantity setting in the task or blading is fixed.
• The bug of non-reflecting the name or code of the remains on the cutting chart after transacting the stock if such remains already exist in the data base is fixed.

The changes and bug-fixes included in Woody Service Pack 3

• The bug in specifications (information about edge facing ) for MS Excel is fixed.
• Bitmap images quality is improved in the "Open File" dialogue box and in the OpenGL-views print preview.
• The bug in the preview window is fixed which used to occur during the incorrect model opening in the "Open File" dialogue.
• The table of the edge facing in use is added in the parts specification.
• Material editor. Visual model export. Now it is possible to export the model for figured edge. If you select the check-box "part contour" you can export even the contour points of part milling.
• The bug which could bring to the system work instability after OpenGL-views have been printed (incompatibility with some printer-drivers) is fixed.
• There is the new processor exceptions handler with the extended information. There exists the possibility of saving it in the LOG-file, found in the directory with the executable module. The transmission of this file to the developers greatly increases the opportunity of successful bug-fixing.
• The bug in the fastening editor is fixed: after new fastening has been saved in one of the planes, the last hole used to lose the information about the position.
• The algorithm of accessories alignment depending on the driller module while using the non-standard spindle pitch is improved.
• In the dialogue box "Materials", while some accessory material is being duplicated, the search of all fastenings using this material is realised. For every fastening the user is offered to utilise the material duplicate. The user may agree or disagree. If some fastenings using the initial material are out of style the user receives the corresponding warning. The fastenings out of style do not receive the new duplicate material reference.
• In case the data-base does not correspond to the model being read, you can delete not only the parts or accessories but also the edges referencing to the indefinite materials.
• The system stability is improved while reading the old models versions.
• The bug of material change in solving the style conflicts is fixed.
• The material components-including-into-style bug is fixed.
• Attention! There appeared the possibility to bind models files to the series of specially programmed hardware protection key. While using the specially programmed key the models created on the work-place having such key will be read only on the work-places having the keys of the same series. The key series are generated according to the individual users' orders.
